What is a HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is a medical grade skin resurfacing treatment. It combines a deep clean and exfoliation, extractions and an antioxidant infusion for cleaner, clearer, more hydrated skin.
HydraFacial effectively and painlessly removes blackheads and whiteheads to improve acne-prone, oily or congested skins. It also removes dead surface cells and provides intense hydration for ageing, dull or dehydrated skins.
How long will the results last?
Results will last several weeks but may last longer depending on how well you take care of your skin after treatment. Having regular ongoing HydraFacial's will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen. This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year round.
What does the treatment involve?
The HydraFacial is performed using a suction handpiece. The HydraFacial treatment starts with a deep cleanse and exfoliation to remove dead skin cells which includes Salicylic and Glycolic acid to break up any dirt and oil clogging pores. This is followed by a painless vacuum extraction of blackheads, whiteheads, dirt, oil, impurities and the final step offers rehydration where hyaluronic, peptides and antioxidants are infused back into the skin.
Who can have this treatment?
HydraFacial can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker skins).
Unfortunately some of the ingredients in the HydraFacial are not safe to have while pregnant or breastfeeding, however, we can customize a pregnancy safe version upon request, please let us know when making your booking.
HydraFacial is not suitable for those who have been on Accutane in the last 6 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, severe rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated or those with a known shellfish or Aspirin allergy.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your skin concerns we may recommend monthly HydraFacial treatments, however your skin will be noticeably cleaner and softer after just one treatment. HydraFacial's are amazing right before a special event or night out to give the skin a hydrated, smooth healthy glow.
Pre and Post care Information
​Avoid the use of exfoliating scrubs, and active products including Vitamin A, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) and Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA’s) for 5-7days after your treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after your treatment and apply Daily SPF30+. Make-up can be used as desired however we recommend keeping the skin makeup free for at least 24hrs post treatment. You may experience slight redness or flushing for up to two hours following the treatment.
